The biggest being that Super/Heroes got into its first film festival! I said before and I'll say again, I'm happy if (now "that") the film is selected for just one festival. It'll mean at least one collective liked it- now, we obviously didn't make it to be popular, but rather we just worked like crazy on it and were very passionate about making it as good as possible. So I guess that was noticed, because NewFilmmakers NY selected it to be part of their Summer Series of screenings, to be shown in NYC on 9/7 at 6 PM as part of a special 9/11 block of programming. So, I'm really excited about this. Its a validation I didn't expect, if I were to be honest. I'm used to my work kind of being under the radar of things like this, so it's a pretty big deal for me. Most of all I'm proud of the crew and our wonderful cast, because really, the movie would've only been a paper script without them. And I'm sure everyone will be spamming Facebook about this because, come on, it's pretty freaking exciting!
In other news, still working on Us & Them. A few people who are going to crew with me on whatever I end up shooting for it got a sneak peek at what I've been writing, and I've had really positive responses, which really makes me happy. People will judge it like crazy until they see what it's ACTUALLY about. I just wish people could trust my judgment enough to know that its worth writing.
